About The Nirbhau Foundation

The Nirbhau Foundation (TNF) works across the country to support anyone affected by baby loss at any stage of pregnancy, birth or infancy. We understand the pain and heartbreak that families go through and are dedicated to providing support and comfort during this difficult time. We provide memory boxes filled with keepsakes and mementos to help families create lasting memories of their loved one.

We understand that every family's journey is different, and we strive to improve the services provided to families who have lost a baby or child. We want to make sure that no family has to go through this difficult time alone. We as a charity foundation know that everyone grieves differently and there is no right or wrong way to go about it. We’re here to help, as much as we can.

How to fundraise with us

Throughout the year we will participate in various fundraising activities. The whole purpose for every single fundraiser will be to raise as much money as possible so we can create memory boxes for those who have suffered from baby loss. We have identified a whole host of future challenges that will test the mental and physical capabilities of the carefully selected participants involved. For a lot of these challenges, some of the charity trustees will be taking part and hopefully try to lead by example. All money we raise will go towards creating memory boxes. So please donate whatever you can afford, as every pound raised will make a huge difference.

How we can support you

The Nirbhau Foundation will try to support bereaving parents and families in in a number of different ways. Our charity foundation will provide memory boxes to those who have suffered from losing a child. Through our fundraising events we raise money to purchase the memory boxes and the content within the box, which allows us to gift this to families free of charge. They are an important part of a bereaved parents’ journey as they contain meaningful items that can be used to capture memories that will last forever. Each item provides support in their way, which we believe are important to help families remember and honour their child. They also provide a special place for families to store keepsakes in the years to come.

How to donate with us

You can donate to our charity foundation in various different ways. As we are a non-profit organisation, 100% of your donation will go to the good causes and the services (memory boxes) we provide, which we raise money for via our fundraising events. We have no shareholders and nobody at the charity gets paid as it is all voluntary work.

We fully believe in the Sikh concept of "Wand Chhakna" which translates to; 'giving back and looking after the welfare of needy, less fortunate and deserving people'. This is why we operate on a 100% donation policy and why we don't have any stakeholders or carry out profit sharing.

Please note, some payment providers will charge a platform fee, such as Donarbox and PayPal which is out of our control. This is why we also provide our own UK charity bank details, so you can donate as a one off, set up a regular standing order or a direct debit if you wish.

Further guidance and help

The Nirbhau Charity Foundation provides grieving families guidance on how to look after their health and wellbeing during this difficult time suffering from baby loss. There are a number of things you can try such as journaling, exercise, talking to others or even taking part in one of our fundraising events etc. This page also provides useful information on planning a funeral with links to organisations that can help families including paying for funerals.
